The APJS has been granted leave to intervene at the Supreme Court of Canada in Beaver Lake Cree Nation v The Queen. The APJS will be arguing that non-profits and other groups at a disadvantage when fighting the government should be entitled to seek interim financial relief while waging worthy court battles. The SCC's decision in this matter will have major implications for the ability to take on the government (and other parties of significant means) and not be "starved out" of litigation.
